Hideyuki has been engaged in independent consulting from 2019, supporting early-stage and pre-foundation startups. He has worked hands-on with more than a dozen researchers and startup companies, contributing to business management and R&D by leveraging his core expertise in global and domestic clinical development, non-clinical development, clinical research, and communication with regulatory affairs. He has also supported many scientists and founders to achieve fundraising and grants.
Before 2019, he served at Kyowa Hakko Kogyo Co., Ltd. / Kyowa Hakko Kirin Co., Ltd., where he took a role in R&D projects across drug discovery evaluation, non-clinical development, clinical development, and as a Medical Science Liaison. In clinical development, he was deeply involved in global initiatives, including international joint clinical trials with overseas pharmaceutical companies and Japan–U.S. regulatory submissions. He has contributed to multiple regulatory submissions and products approval for oncology, central nervous system , and immunology-related disease.
Master’s degree in Applied Biological Sciences from Tokyo University of Science and an MBA from the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University. Startup SME Advisor for the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan (SMRJ).
