After beginning his career at Nippon Life Insurance Company, Mr. Ohshige engaged in strategy consulting and business development at the Boston Consulting Group and Dream Incubator. He later joined the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (now INCJ, Ltd.), where he served as Managing Director and subsequently as Executive Officer and Co-Head of the Venture Growth Investment Group, leading extensive investment and support activities for startups. He has contributed to the growth of numerous pioneering companies as an outside director, including WHILL, ASTROSCALE, SCIVAX, and SmartDrive.

He was ranked No. 1 in Forbes Japan’s “Most Influential Venture Capitalists in Japan 2025”.
