Yuji joined Untrod Capital Asia in 2025. Before joining Untrod Capital Asia, he led and managed the Singapore office of Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Support. Prior to that, he led the CVC (Corporate Venture Capital) practice for Japanese large corporates, where he supported CVC formulation as well as startup investment support, from proposal to execution.

His areas of expertise lies on CVC, Business due diligence, financial due diligence, and valuation of startups, new business strategy formulation, and new business creation. He served the variety of clients such as bank, trading house, F&B, logistics, IT, insurance etc.

He has a Master degree from INSEAD Business School and BA in commerce from Waseda university
